Clouds and More

I am a sky watcher. There is never ending beauty and variety in the sky.Because the clouds change so quickly,I find that the phone is often the camera I use.It is with me all the time, and I think it does a pretty good job of theses pictures.

When I look up and see a sky filled with puffy white clouds, there is only one thing to do and that is to get a picture.

Very often the first thing I do in the morning is to look out of my east facing door.Once again, because the phone is handy,I use it to capture the color in the morning sky.

Many mornings when I arrive at the lot where my school bus is parked,I have to stop and get a picture, even before I walk over to my bus.

My iPhone is handy for so many things. One of them is the Bible which I can now carry with me wherever I go.I have several different Bible Apps. One of them is simple called Holy Bible and is by YouVersion.Within this app,I can add verses to my picture,if I want to.This scenes was from the drivers seat of my bus one morning during the last week of June.If you look carefully, you can see the bus mirror in the lower left hand corner.

Here is a quote worth pondering:
The more often we see the things around us - even the beautiful and wonderful things - the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds - even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.

Fun Photos

Time for another post featuring iPhone photos and edits.

This was made in the SuperPhoto App on my phone,

After washing the strawberries and peppers I had bought,I had to snap a picture. If nothing else, the colors were bright and cheery.

On a walk downtown with my sister,we had to stop a few times so I could capture the next three images. This is a Begonia in a beautiful color.

An interesting bi-colored Snapdragon.

Finally some Little-leaf Lilacs. The Lilacs have put on a tremendous show this year.

Let me know if you have a favourite picture and keep on shooting with the camera at hand.

Looking Up and Down with the iPhone

As I have said before,my iPhone is always with me,so therefore many pictures are taken with it.

A walk across my lawn recently resulted in this shot.I noticed the mushroom and even before I went to get my camera,I took this one.

Of course,I don't take my larger camera with me on the bus,but I do have a phone in my pocket.I am so thankful that I usually have a couple of minutes before the bus rolls out,to capture a scene like this.

As I wandered around my yard, the Maple tree standing in the centre of the lawn caught my attention.
This is a pretty tree in all seasons. In case anyone has noticed, the green strip in the background,it is part of a fence around construction right behind my place.A new senior's home is being built.I am thankful for that.We needed more space for the seniors and it should be a quiet back yard neighbour after the construction is done.

Watching a sunset is something I do regularly.I have many pictures of sunsets, taken with my Olympus camera, but I usually try to get  few with the iPhone as well.

Sunday,June 13,I was on my way to church, when I saw the dark sky.I made a slight detour,to get away from the buildings and captured this with my iPhone.Nothing much came from this cloud, but it sure looked ominous.

I should add that these pictures are not edited.
Have fun and use the camera that is ready when the picture presents itself.

Roses on the iPhone

In keeping with the rose theme I started on Facebook,I will share a few rose edits.
These are done in the App called Super Photo.

This first one is called Tear. This particular effect is part of the premium package, which can be added onto the free one.I guess it looks like a teardrop, but is pretty with a rose in it.

I know that this is made in the same App,but I can't recall the name. There are a well over a thousand different styles within this App,so there is something for everyone.

This one is called Bezierism and is found in the Filters section.

If you carry a phone with you,may I encourage you to use the camera on it.These may not be pictures you want to enlarge and hang on a wall, but I promise, you will have fun with them.
